Job Summary
The Director of the Global SAP Center of Excellence is responsible for driving the strategy to create a robust, scalable Global ERP platform to support Carhartt’s continued growth. This work includes leading a team responsible for providing business partners with best in class solutions as well as driving business value by leveraging core solution capabilities. This individual must be able to collaborate easily and cross functionally with various departments and influence at all levels of the organization including senior leadership.

Representative Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor and develop the SAP Center of Excellence team, including team leaders and architects.
- Develop and manage the department budget as well as reporting on qualitative and quantitative results.
- Lead, evolve, and execute the delivery of Global SAP solutions - ensuring alignment with IT Product Line teams of Sales/Service, Direct to Consumer, and Supply Chain/Enterprise.
- Partners with Business Product Owners to create and manage backlogs of enhancements to the platform.
- Oversee communication of Global SAP solutions with the intent of clearly identifying challenges with a business process, while inspiring and gaining alignment for business implications among senior leadership and cross functional partners.
- Develop, execute, and maintain the SAP Center of Excellence processes, as well as the roadmap for the Global SAP landscape, including all primary integration tools and supporting systems.
- Implement testing and quality processes to maintain integrity of SAP Landscape.
- Responsible for maintaining 24x7 operational availability of SAP.
- Development of business cases for proposed initiatives.
- Deliver insightful recommendations that align with and support the business strategies.
- Partner with other IT discipline leaders to plan, architect and deliver holistic solutions.
- Maintain effective relationships with strategic vendors, including SAP and implementation partners.
- Work with professionalism, integrity, and respect as a leader within the IT team.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Computer Science, Management Information Services or related field or equivalent years of experience
- Master’s Degree Preferred
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of SAP ERP experience inclusive of:
- Minimum of 6 years of SAP leadership experience in AFS, FMS or S/4 HANA Fashion with a track record of developing and attracting talent.
- Demonstrated ability to understand key business issues and apply critical thinking to recommend solutions.
- Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and presentation skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including management and external partners.
- Team mentality, passion for the consumer, believer in the power of brands and ideas.
- Proven ability to work in a complicated and fast-paced business environment.
- A change agent who can bridge disparate viewpoints to reach consensus.
- Experience planning, forecasting and monitoring of annual budget.
- Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required.
- Willing to work some weekends if necessary. On-call as needed
- National and International travel required (up to 10%)
- This position has a Remote location: Associate will have no regular requirement to be on-site. Travel on-site is limited to special events.
