Summary

​​The Paid Media Strategist will lead Carhartt’s integrated media strategy across owned sites and retail channels, including Carhartt.com, Carhartt stores, and direct-to-business/recommerce sites. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing paid media plans across key channels (paid social, affiliate, display, video, digital/OOH, audio, and content partnerships) to drive consideration, traffic, and revenue in alignment with business goals. Key responsibilities include driving performance by leading media strategies and collaborating with creative teams, agencies, and cross-functional partners to deliver impactful, results-driven campaigns. A strategic mindset, hands-on leadership, and the ability to innovate in a fast-paced environment are essential.​

Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated strategy development and execution of seasonal media campaigns for paid channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives, KPIs, and budget guidance to deliver strong performance, creative and consumer insights. 
  • Collaborate with internal marketing leads to brief creative teams, partnering closely to deliver best-in-class content and messaging journeys that resonate with target audiences across paid channels and on-time delivery of assets. 
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with media agency and direct media platform partners, ensuring campaigns are executed efficiently and effectively. 
  • Drive performance by leading projections, managing the media budget to align with revenue targets, and optimizing media placements with external agencies to enhance traffic, ROI, and customer acquisition. 
  • Analyze and report channel performance and campaign results, communicating actionable insights & recommendations to stakeholders, including weekly business reviews (WBRs). 
  • Build and manage content and messaging calendar aligned with brand and D2C product priorities, working closely with cross-functional marketing and D2C merchant partners to ensure alignment. 
  • Assess the full campaign journey for effectiveness, from content alignment to placements and landing pages - ensuring seamless consumer experiences across paid touchpoints.  
  • Proactively identify new media opportunities, technologies, and trends to elevate Carhartt’s media strategy and maintain a competitive edge. 
  • Manage paid media budgets, invoicing and reconciliation process ensuring investments align with performance goals and maximize returns. 

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related field or equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5 or more years marketing experience inclusive of the following: 
    • 3+ years of experience driving performance through paid media channels; Agency experience is a plus. 
    • 3 years of budget management and ROI evaluation experience preferred 
  • Hands-on experience with analytics platforms e.g. Adobe, GA4, Measured, Meta 
  • Strong computer skills; Proficient in Microsoft Excel. 
  • Ability to understand, optimize and report on digital marketing campaigns 
  • Ability to execute under tight deadlines and within budget parameters 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Organization and attention to detail 
  • Apparel, Retail or Consumer Products marketing experience preferred 

 

Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment; cubical setting.

  • Extended periods of time sitting or standing and typing on a computer is required. 

  • This position has a Remote location: Associate will have no regular requirement to be on-site. Travel on-site is limited to special events. 

  • Travel may be required up to 10%.
