Job Summary
The SERVER AND STORAGE OPERATIONS ANALYST will oversee the correct functioning of the organization's servers and backup infrastructure. Maintain operating efficiency and stability, monitor servers’ performance, and ensure business continuity through the right Disaster Recovery processes.
Troubleshot issues escalated to the L2 support and provide root cause analysis accordingly.

Representative Responsibilities

Monitor functioning of servers and make necessary troubleshooting to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications
-
Maintain and troubleshoot Azure IaaS Virtual Machines and Azure Applications
-
Monitors, escalates, and re-mediate NAS & SAN device/application (access, performance, events) alerts to identify/ potential incidents
-
Works directly with other departments, internal customers, and other stakeholders to support software throughout existing environment both on-premises or cloud

Troubleshoot, maintains, and respond to alerts from monitoring systems.

Conduct activities in such areas as performance tuning, resource optimization, and monitoring

Participates in engineering and testing of disaster recovery of systems.

Ensure all virtual machines are following current lifecycle patch management

Responsible for maintenance and monitoring of backup systems and restoring data.

Analyze trends and suggest solutions or optimization
-
Follow all change management procedures and coordinates planned outages with all affected parties.

Creates and maintains documentation / instructions as necessary for systems and processes.

Escalate service requests that require engineer level support in a timely fashion to prevent breech of SLA

Act as technical lead for L1 Operations and Support Team
Required Education
-
BA or BS Management Information Systems, Computer Science preferred
-
Experience with cloud computing preferred (AWS, Azure).
Required Skills & Experience
-
Three years of relevant experience in multiple IT areas with a minimum of oneyear of relevant architecture or business analyst experience (data, servers, application, systems, etc.) required.

Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal. Quick thinker, experienced in unconventional problem solving.

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to identify risks associated with business processes, IT operations, and technology projects.

Strong Technical Leadership skills.

Comfortable initiating change; consciously managing and shaping change. Can handle the stress related to balancing multiple issues and perspectives.

Demonstrated experience identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications, and global infrastructure assets.

Experience with Cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS)

Create and maintain meticulous, living documentation and diagrams across the full life cycle of projects and systems.

Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting virtual environments both on-prem and cloud

Maintain Patch Management life cycle for x86 – preferably SCCM
