Job Summary
The Salesforce Administrator is a key member of the IT - Sales and Service development team and is responsible for managing and optimizing the Salesforce platform, including user management, data integrity, workflow automation, reporting, and training, with a deeper understanding of complex configurations, integrations, and business processes, often collaborating with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements beyond basic administration tasks. This is a mid-level role where the Salesforce Administrator has experience with advanced features like Flows, custom objects, and data cleansing techniques while providing ongoing support to users and maintaining system health.

Representative Responsibilities
- Act as a technical champion and advocate for the optimization of Salesforce solutions needed to support business partner and overall organizational goals.
- Customization & Configuration:
- Object & Field Management: Create and manage custom objects, fields, and relationships between objects.
- Page Layouts & Record Types: Customize page layouts, record types, and Lightning pages to suit business requirements.
- Validation Rules: Design and manage validation rules to ensure data integrity and business logic enforcement.
- Workflows & Process Automation: Build and maintain automation such as workflows, process builder flows, and email alerts.
- Reports & Dashboards: Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards to provide business insights.
- Data Management:
- Data Imports & Exports: Use tools like Data Loader and Data Import Wizard for bulk data import, export, and updates.
- Data Cleansing: Regularly review and clean up Salesforce data to remove duplicates, incorrect data, and ensure data integrity.
- Data Migration: Assist with data migration projects, including mapping data from other systems to Salesforce.
- Process & Workflow Automation
- Automation Tools: Implement process automation tools like Process Builder, Flows, and Workflow Rules to streamline business processes.
- Approval Processes: Design and configure approval processes to manage complex business approvals.
- Create and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data
- Operate within the dev-ops process, create roll back contingencies and manage applicable back-up solutions
- Establish trusted relationships with business partners, IT team members, IT portfolio leaders, and partners.
- Effectively communicate approach, value, risk, alternatives, and status of progress with leadership, business stakeholders, and IT team members.
- Seek information across the industry to understand new and related Salesforce technologies, sharing information with business stakeholders and IT to drive innovation, efficiency, and an improved customer/consumer experience.
- Support tasks such as troubleshooting issues and other ad-hoc requests.
- Participate in on-call support of Salesforce.
Required Education
- Bachelor of Computer Science degree (or similar) or equivalent experience
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years Salesforce Administrator experience, inclusive of Salesforce Administrator Certification
- Additional experience in software development, IT Support or other technology-based roles preferred
- Ability to contribute to and drive technical decisions and architecture
- Proficient knowledge of Salesforce product, architecture, patterns, and best practices
- Experience creating and maintaining different sets of user roles and permissions
- Effectively prioritize and work with a high degree of autonomy
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required.
